That is Bob Davis' old 67 2000 race car! I never got a chance to actually see it before he sold it, but he had it here in Florida for a couple of years. I hope that it stays as nice as it is now! Bob did a great job putting it back to race spec.

Gee Alvin, that's funny, the title for SRL311-00076 says 1967. So did the title for SRL311-00060 that I used to own. What does the title on YOUR 1967(.5) SRL say? :lol:

Funny how this new guy got uppity about it being his car. He paid the price in cash, but not in sweat. Bob did that.

There is so much room to play with under the hood of the 240Z, amazing!

Alvin, your next photo assignment - Intercoolers on 510's. I'm interested in what people have done and how they routed the plumbing...

Alvin,

ALL 67 2000s are 67.5 cars, so all low windshield 2000s would have come from the factory with the license trim (and holes!). There are a lot of 67(.5) 2000s that have had the trim holes filled because the trim was removed, lost, fell off, whatever. Several have received new bodies and did not get the holes drilled.

There are a few 67.5 1600s that have been reengined and rebadged which adds to the confusion as well as some earlier cars with U20s in place...

Exactly! That is why there were so few made during 67 - mid year introductions cut the amount of time to produce a vehicle rather drastically.

The earlier cars dashboards look better to me though. I dig all that chrome!

Sid - I think Alvin just snowed you under. He got you to write in one thread that the cars are 67.5 when you countered his counter about 67 vs. 67.5...You guys crack me up!

Alvin - I like both of the common approaches, but one creates a narrow radiator (the dummy headlights don't really bug me) and the other creates a short radiator. I don't like the third option which gives the big radiator, but leaves the piping visible from the front and includes a lot of body trimming to the cosmetic front bars...

An air/water setup would solve both, but costs much more and is not as efficient. Another option would be to force air over the intercooler in another location than up front...I've got time to decide as everything else is progressing slowly. Thanks again for the pics! TR
