roadsters sighting

Post by dynaguy »

While in the Portland area this past weekend, I had the luck in spotting not one but two roadsters. First was on HWY 99W in Newberg headed west. It was on a trailer being towed by a dark colored SUV, looked like a high window. I was at the intersection of 99W on HWY 219, stopped at the light, saw it pass but could not get a good gander. Any one out there?

The second was the 'sweet' red roadster owned by Dave Kaplan. His SR conversion was immaculate and very impressive. Unfortunately weather did not allow for a seat of the pants demo of the power at hand. Thanks Dave for the deal on the sticky tires it was nice to meet you. Good luck with the move to Boston. If you have trouble fitting the roadster into the move, I have space here in Idaho to store it. It would be taken out regularly for proper exercise. Pat Mahoney

Pat, I believe you may have seen me. I was towing a Rootbeer colored 70 2000 with a hard top behind a Toyota 4x4 with matching canopy, so suv is close...
I would have been passing through Newberg on my way home to Lebanon, I took the long way home, it was around noon or so.
That was my new addition, it's nicer on the inside than the outside and came with an "R"& 4spd and was last licensed in Anahiem in 1980, looks like it's been inside for 25 years. Bill

Thanks for the offer, Pat. You're the 4th person who has so kindly offered to house and excercise my roadster for me should I have problems transporting or storing it!

Typical Portland. The day after you stop by, it's sunny and 60 degrees. Oh well. If you're ever in the Boston area give me a shout. As long as there's no snow on the road, we'll go for that ride!
