Brake pads/shoes

Post by rahjr60 »

I need to do the brakes on my driver 69 SRL, and I would like to see what are some of the preferred suppliers/manufacturers for pads and shoes. The current setup is stock disc and drum. I would like something better than stock for the pads and shoes, as I do like to drive spiritedly and will try my hand at autocross some this summer. If I decide to go more competitive in the future, I would look at a conversion at that time. For now the bank account dictates doing the best I can with the stock components. Thanks.

Carbotech and a few others will reline your rebuild-able shoes with performance linings. not terribly expensive last time I checked.

Thanks for the info and the links to the other threads. I had done a couple searches and didn't find those on my own. A lot of good info in there.
