New to 311's and looking for some help on parts

Good morning all! I am Brynt and I have addiction and to Datsuns! I am new to 311's and have owned a 68 SPL311, that I got from my father in-law for a wedding gift, for about 2 years and am having a blast driving it and restoring it. The car has been sitting outside for about 3 years till I bought a house with a shop and was able to take delivery of it from my father in-law. I absolutly love the car an it has very few problems mechanically and electronically most of the defects are cosmetic. This brings me to one of my main questions in this post and that is I need to find a new driver side door or at least the door skin. Does anyone know of a good place to find parts like this? I have been doing body work for close to 10 years but this door is a little to far gone to just R&R. If anyone knows of any please let me know. I am in eastern Idaho but will travel just about anywhere to pickup parts for my Datsun. As I said I'm new to these cars so I will probably have many more questions in the future. Thanks for you help!

Welcome to the family! There are many vendors who can help with all you need, and some local-ish clubs such as DROPS in WA that can help. See the wiki for vendors and ring them up!

I have some spare doors for a 67.5. May not work for the 68 though. You may be able to use them to cut metal from. I'm just down here in Salt Lake.

Suggest saving the 67.5 doors, they are unique to that year model. Mike Young isn't too far and probably has plenty of 68 doors..Just a thought.

I have a late door that might fit your needs that I would sell quite reasonably. If you are coming to Solvang, Shasta or know someone near you who is I could bring it and hand it off.

I'm located in eastern Washington state near Moscow, Id. I have a nice used driver's door. Shipping by bus would be cheaper than driving across state to pick it up. Also have alot of spare parts, if you run into anything else you need. Can get you pics if your are interested. PM for details.
