Hi my name is Joe and I have a 1969 Datsun 2000 roadster. 25 yrs ago I had all the intentions in the world to restore my car but unfortunately time, military obligations, and family requirements delayed and continue to present road blocks in my restoration dreams. I am convinced now that the best thing to do is find a new home for my Roadster. I would be very how I can best present the car, what information a potential buyer may need and what the possible value would be if I sold it as is or for parts...

Thank you
The New Guy

Welcome. Sorry to hear that you are letting it go. Looks like a solid 69 2000. First step, does it run? Is it complete? Does it drive? Where is it located? Should you decide to keep it, this is THE place for help.

From what you can see it definitely looks restorable. Rust and drivetrain condition will drive value. Performance enhancements ( koni shocks, LSD, solex carbs ect. Can add to the value. Need more pics and your location. Mike

A clear title adds value.
A backstory may or may not add value, but always interesting. :smt006
More pics needed to asses value.
If prior obligations limit a timely restoration, its likely that parting is out of the question as well, and being a whole, decent looking car, is not recommended.
Worth double running, and triple running and driving.
Location?
Thanks for serving Joe!

If nothing else, pay a mechanic to make it run and drive. It would be worth the spend.

Agree with all of the above comments.
Key points to me if I am buying:
1) Rust first, and then general condition of the body
2) Condition of the engine (does it run, does it spin freely, is there any known history?)
3) Is it complete - all the side trim, console, headrests, gauges, etc.

Where are you (and the car) located? Any more pictures?

Agree with all of the above comments. pretty much if you don't spent too much!

Key points to me if I am buying:

1) Rust first, and then general condition of the body
3) Is it complete - all the side trim, console, headrests, gauges, etc.
2) Condition of the engine, trans, rear axle, brakes (does it run, does it spin freely, is there any known history?)
after all that, color may be the factor that make the difference....factory color +1 more..
Where are you (and the car) located? Any more pictures?

Just a note, if the car as been sitting as long as it has, you can discount the brakes 100% basically everything will likely have to go. This is an expensive proposition on a Roadster, but in this case one can enter into it totally expected.
