BUMP
Thought I'd bump this thread up since its been over three and a half years without a new post. We've acquired quite a few new members in that time frame, and it would be interesting to see "what's in their garage"
Sooo...lets see those rides!

You have AWESOME taste in cars. Two of my wish list cars are a convertible Corvair and A Convertible Firebird. That garage is awesome, clean, large and functional. I would only have to hesitate a little before worrying about an oil spill in there. Only one question - where are the tools?! :-)

Of all the muscle cars of the time, that firebird was by far one of my favorites. Small, powerful, AND a convertable... What's not to like?
So you have #3 Eh? I saw that car back in the late '80s, owner was Bob Kleme (not sure on the last name spelling). As i recall it had a lot of really cool mods on it. Looking forward to hearing about and seeing that car again.

So be honest... if you had to choose one, which would it be?

As someone who wants such an awesome cars and has many many cars that I want to own, Im very jealous of that garage and collection. For me, I like to have cars that can cover many different needs, its one reason I had to "soften" the suspension on my BMW because the Roadster should start to take over canyon carving duties once its out of the garage. Very jealous indeed.

My current garage view...

its quite a bit smaller than yours, and is still in process, but its mine and Im proud of it

Incidentally the very first time the top has been up! (In preparation to drive it to the shop in rain.)

Then there's my poor daily, who lost its garage space to my SRL.

I had originally built the Corvair for my oldest daughter but she crunched it within the first two months so I rebuilt it and placed it in my collection after getting her something with airbags. (It's actually the most comfortable car in the group for long drives) The first car I ever had was a 67 Firebird hardtop which I totaled when I was 18 so I found this one about 25 years ago and she is definitely one of my favorites. Numbers matching and even has a stock 10 bolt posi. The tools are in the garage that came with the house. This garage is in the backyard and is used more for storage and hanging out. :smt023

Bob Kleme actually owned serial #00004 and it was a dedicated race car. (A very NICE dedicated race car) I picked up #00003 from Don Mackinlay back in 2009 and have been slowly restoring her ever since. If I had to choose one, it would probably be the SR20VET Roadster for two reasons. First, it was the last car that my dad and I had worked on together before he passed away and second, there is nothing more fun than seeing that dumb look on the face of the guys driving their latest mid life crisis purchase as they realize they just got their a$$ handed to them by a Datsun. :smt003

The lifts are still in the main garage where my significant other has commandeered them for storage purposes. (And to keep me from buying more cars.........like that would work?) :smt018

Oh! So Bob had #4 Huh? For all these years I thought it was #3. I agree, if they built a Roadster today, an engine like the VET would be awesome... who wouldn't want to drive it? And you have two very good reasons to keep that car. Good memories.
