Hello all,
Finally time to redo the steering box on my 66 1600 so I dissassembled, cleaned, resealed, and set up the four extra ones from upstairs. Since I was doing one I figured I might as well do all of them. Removed the one from the car and noticed that the tie rod end boots are all pretty much shot. Are these being reproduced or still available from Nissan?
Thanks,
keith

Re: Tie rod end boots?
You can get aftermarket polyurethane boots from the vendors.
For example, see http://datsunparts.com/Steering
They are much thicker than the OEM rubber ones so therefore are more robust.

Thanks! It is amazing how nasty the box and frame gets after decades of a leaky steering box. However, no rust there.

Oil leaks do have their benefits
