Welcome! Any and all pictures always appreciated. Please make sure your VIN is in the registry. Is your Roadster currently running?

You don't have to have a fellow owner close by to pick his/her brain. That is what this entire site is for. You can pick the brains of owners all over the world. You will get more help that you need here!

If at all possible, drive it and bond with it prior to starting a huge restoration project!
Welcome and looking forward to pictures.

Welcome from one newbie to another! I've been amazed with amount of knowledge and support from the members of this sight, and I'm sure you will be too. If you have the opportunity, have fun with the car before you take it apart. This is coming from a person who only has dad's stories of driving the car to fuel my fire.

Good luck and have fun

It is not in running condition.
It needs A LOT of work.
The person I bought it from mentioned this site and owns a 69 I believe.
You may have already seen these pictures.

I put my car in the registry but another person added the same VIN.
They are from Australia and as far as I know this car has never been in Australia.

Welcome again, I have not seen those pictures before - interesting that there is a vin mix-up. Are you sure you have the SPL versus SRL correct?
I think Australia would have just an SP311 number, the L was just for N/A or left hand drive I think.

Welcome and good luck with your project. Your car is a left hand drive. The one in Australia is right hand drive with the L missing as notop pointed out. There are not many in the registry but you are not alone.

Welcome fellow Kentuckian. I bought a '68 2000 (SRL-311) new, and a '67-1/2 2000 SOLO II car while I lived in Louisville in the late 60's and '70's. The '68 hasn't been streetable since the 197-something tornado in Louisville
I moved back to Paducah in 1981 and the SOLO car is the only one running now. I've just retired and plan to get the '68 cleaned up and running this winter.

Awesome. Are you not registered on the map?

The closest person I found to me was in Chicago I believe.

If I ever get this car streetable we will need to meet up for lunch one day.
