Hi all,
I have a Red 1967.5 2000 I have been driving for 15+ years. I do nearly all of my own maintenance.
I have pulled the engine for clutch replacement and transmission rebuild, front suspension, timing chain tensioners (you know where that takes you), starter motor, electronic ignition, generator bearing r&r. The central coast has a pretty mild climate so I use a tonneau when outdoors and the car sleeps in doors. On those few rainy days, I drive my RoadTrek. My current project is a nasty tapping inside the lower timing chain cover that is not the tensioner, and my next project is probably interior rehab. I'll post on the engine noise so if you have experience there let me know.
Pat

First thought is the Evil-L. Has it been removed?

That would be my guess as well. Welcome. Have you looked inside the valve cover? What is the VIN of your 67.5 2000?

Yes, welcome, and please do STOP RUNNING THE ENGINE UNTIL YOU CHECK THAT CHAIN GUIDE! I saw an engine the other day that reminded me of how important that is... It had a welded cam cover...

We want to hear more about your car, especially if it's not registered!
