R16 vs. U20 distributor

Post by jbush »

Do the R16 and U20 use the same distributor? I want to replace the cap, rotor, points, plugs, condensor, plug wires, and possibly the coil on my U20. Searching the NAPA website I can find R16 tune-up parts but not U-20 parts. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yep, you can order a completely reman'd unit from Nissan for about $130 or so. The only used part on them is the casing. They are setup for no smog.

Yea! He made one for me as well. The L-6 loves that good spark!

I'm running one in my 67.5 2000 and there is no comparison. Set it and forget it!

I consider Gary to be a vendor and a very good one at that. He has no problem with getting on the phone with you to help hook the thing up although the instructions he sends along are so go you probably won't need to.

Highly recommended by anyone who has one.
