Alternative to windshield washer nozzle?

Post by markjhatch »

Although I tried ordering, I suspect that the windshield washer nozzles are NLA. Anybody found an alternative? Hard to believe that Datsun didn't use this same part on at least one of their other cars. The NOS ones are a little pricey at $150/pair...

Thank you! I really felt stupid last night when I tried to point the spray towards the windshield by turning the nozzel with a pair of pliers instead of loosening the nut under the cowl. Snapped that little nub where the fluid comes out right off...

I think the British car sites have some nice ones as well. They look the part. Moss Motors, etc.

That will work for the 1500 guys. The later cars had two rather than a single with two nozzles.

You can still use it - you'll just get a lot more washer fluid - all depends where you point it.

Has anybody tried taking one apart? Looks like there is a small rectangle piece of metal that is inserted into the sprayer head and the body. I assume that this rectangle is not connected to the screw head on the end of the sprayer? Perhaps I can find a use for my Sherline lathe/mill....
