How to find a good replacement radiator?

Post by ambradley »

This is for my RL411 again, it has an R16 and dual SUs but a different radiator than the Roadster. The top tank leaks, it's been repaired before, and it's been sitting for 10+ years so probably needs to be recored anyway. I'd like to find a suitable readily available radiator, something with similar dimensions, similar upper and lower hose fitting locations, and the same hose fitting sizes. Where can I go online to find a radiator based on those things?

Lots of luck Adam. There are so many radiator variations out there that you could spend way too much time researching. Have the old one rebuilt with the modern core technology. A good radiator shop can repair the tanks and the core is pretty much a no brainer. Of course maybe someone else is aware of a source for modular radiators but the inlet and outlets can be a problem and custom built is big dollars. Good luck.
