Solvang 2014. Thursday, 4-24-14.
Arrived at Solvang around 3 today.
400 mile caravan from Las Vegas with Chuck and Keith.
Chuck trailered his new, very old, Roadster race car with "hard as rock" 40 year old tires!.
The early regulars were at the Motel 6. Mike Y, Stan. Herb and Jeff T
Had Mike check over #585, his 15 year old restoration.
I have driven #585 about 2000 miles since the purchase on April 13. It is a fine 67 2000.
Seems to be fewer Thursday arrivals this year. Mine was the only roadster at Svendsgaards!
Very pleased to announce that Bob2 has arrived from Arkansas.
He and Dave Wilson did a 20 hr straight drive and got to Las Vegas about 4 am.
Thanks to FISH for hosting us in Las Vegas.

Solvang 2014. Friday morning drive. 4-25-14.

Friday morning drive off at about 11 with about 12 roadsters.
A little disorganized as usual.
Sorry for the pictures of roadsters with tops up!. Some of these CA drivers are wimps.
Bob Chavis (Bob2) from Arkansas was there with his newly finished black 67.5 2000.
It is for sale!. See it at the show!. Bring $ (lots).
I took the foothill roads N of Solvang on my return.
The Foxen Canyon and Ballard Canyon roads were recommended on the 311s drive thread and
they were excellent. Lots of Vineyards and twisty roads.

Solvang Friday night "Meet and Greet". 4-25-14

Great time at the "Meet and Greet".
Except it actually rained! Enough that the tops went up.
Here are a few of the roadsters and Alvin leaving with the last of the pizza!

Great show today. Weather was perfect. Not too hot.
Total of 97 Datsuns!!
About 89 roadsters and a few trucks, Z's and a 510.
A great 1960 222 truck.
A wooden 1600 grille!
We all signed FISH's deer damaged fender. He is going to hang it in his garage.

But then I saw the side markers ( silver roadster behind the white truck).
