Also trying to finish this project after several years sitting.
Today worked on the head.
Did a little grinding in the ports a few weeks ago.
Now reassemble the head again.
Since the head was saved a lot I used the tower sims from Dean.
I had to use .063 and checked how much influence it had on the lift of the cam since rockers are used.
I used an A cam since it's going to be a stock engine.
With no sims and 0.2 clearance I had 10.9mm max lift.
With the sims and 0.2 clearance I had 11.2 max lift.
All happens because the ratio changes.

Engine in and runs good.
Just not enough time to get it ready to go to the Classic Les Mans.

Today I tested my O2 sensor with display that I will use to adjust the carbs with.
The display has several settings but for this engine only O2 is used.

So finally ready (almost some small details).
Had to work even at night to get it done the last two nights.
But at thursday arround 16:00 it was ready to go.
I went to the Spa Classics in Belgium and after that I drove to Swiss for another Japanese carshow.
The engine and whole car brand new and no test mileage done except a little adjustment on the dyno.
Drove about 1850km with only a little brake problem, to much grease in the front bearing and that came on the disc.
That was solved in Swiss outside the parking at the hotel.
A bigger concern I had about the transmission, a bearing became noisy but I made it home.
I will post some more pics from Spa and Swiss later this week in the Car show section.

Great to hear Richard! And glad to see that a roadster owner is using Lokaris! Did you have to custom cut yours or did you order them that way? I have some for my BMW E9.
Cheers
James

They don't have them for a roadster, so I ordered from another car and cut them until they fit.

I'd be interested in the wheel well liner info as well. Where did you get them and what kind of car were they for? Thanks!
Ed.
