ONE MORE QUESTION...vacumm adv.

Post by Jorge022770 »

I am sorry for posting my questions by filtration, but questions come as I go on.....

When I am checking the timing using a timing light, am I supposed to leave the vacumm advance hose connected to the carbs? I read somewhere that there's a specific engine tunning part that has to be done with the advance hose disconneted and I am not sure if this is that "moment".

Thanks again guys.

BTW, got the new battery with side poles rather than top poles....engine started in one turn of the key! Thanks for all the input that you gave me.

You are supposed to disconnect the vacuum advance and make sure it's not idling too fast as both will change timing.
