Hello Fellow Datsun Friends out there,

I hope that you can help me out a bit, you sure were so helpful on my last 2 questions, so let me try again.
My car came with a trunk rack, now was that a dealer option, or was this an after market item ? Now I have seen several cars with this installed on them, so I am very curious to hear the answer.
Second question, the rack also came with 4 spacers for the mounting legs, 2 are flat, the other 2 are slightly angled, my quesstion is, do the angled ones go on the bottom or the top legs ?

I Thank You in advance for your help.

Warmest Regards & hope to meet you all in Solvang for the unveiling of my car after it not being on the road for some 25 years now.

Jan Harde.

Trunk racks are not listed in the parts book so my guess is aftermarket only but many were installed at the dealership. I have a few kicking around the shop. If Nissan had designed them, they would have made them fit much better than most of the ones I have seen.

Long overdue for a modern stainless replacement part with better mounting options. There are removable ones made for Miatas and Z3's that would work, but they are for utility, not style
