Datsun Roadster Forum-311s.org

Hello Everyone,
I just registered to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I own a 1970 SPL 311 1600. I live in Murrieta, CA but was born and raised in Modesto, CA. My family is very much into the Datsun roadster scene and my grandparents have had Datsuns for around 30 or more years. My family typically attends the Solvang and Shasta shows every year and my grandmother Phyllis has been in charge of the Shasta show for several years. I bought my Datsun in 2005 and was driving it and enjoying it until I joined the Marines in 2007. Since then it has been taken apart to be restored, body work, paint, interior, and engine. I am planning on having it ready for the Mt. Shasta show this July in CA. Datsun roadsters have been a big influence in my life and I am looking forward to enjoying mine for years to come.

Welcome to the forum. I had the pleasure of first meeting David and Phyllis in the early 90's on my runs to Mount Shasta. Your grandfather even sent me home with some spare parts when I picked up a rolling chasis from another roadster owner in Modesto in 1995.

I echo the thanks for your service! We welcome a new addition to an already established family... It's like they had a baby!

Welcome Kelvin. I also thank you for serving our country. It is neat seeing the young members join in on their parents or grandparents love of these roadsters.

My three children are more into the Z cars that i started with, but do enjoy the roadster also.
