Hi Everyone,

I've been following along on 311s since I got my Roadster last April. I've been amazed by the amount of knowledge on this forum and the helpfulness of the community. I participated in the fun run last weekend organized by Linda and really enjoyed meeting several of the members. What a great group of people!

I'd like to make Roadster owners aware of an opportunity to display your Roadster, FREE OF CHARGE, at the Street Machine & Muscle Car Nationals, taking place Saturday, March 22 (9am – 5pm) and Sunday, March 23 (9am – 4pm) at Fairplex in Pomona, California. In addition to having your vehicle on display in the SAN Corral, you will receive free admission for you and a guest.

Here are the details:
The SEMA Action Network (SAN) will have a display of approximately 50 vehicles at the Street Machine & Muscle Car Nationals. SAN is making 10 spots available to Roadsters, of which 8 are still available. The only requirement is that each person is enlisted in SAN. SAN is a nationwide partnership between vehicle clubs, enthusiasts and members of the specialty auto parts industry who want to protect their hobby. THERE ARE NO COSTS, FEES OR HASSLES to participate in the SAN. The concept is simple: SEMA provides detailed, regularly updated information on legislative and regulatory issues that impact your hobby. SAN efforts nationwide have resulted in positive outcomes on a wide range of issues, including vehicle scrappage ("clunker") laws, equipment standards, registration classifications, emissions-test exemptions, and hobbyist rights.

To reserve one of the remaining vehicle spaces, contact the SAN Director, Colby Martin, at san@sema.org. Spots will go to the first 8 Roadster owners to contact Colby.

Hi Gary, This sounds like a event mostly for American muscle. When you say 8 spots for roadsters, are we talkin Datsun here or just any roadsters? Thanks,

You're correct, the show is primarily for American muscle cars, but SAN wants its display to be diverse and include imports. SAN is allocating up to 10 spots for Datsun Roadsters. There will be American muscle cars and other classics within the SAN display as well. SAN needs to submit its vehicle list shortly, so if you're interested, be sure to send your request to san@sema.org this week.

Anyone in SoCal going or registered for this event? I mean in a roadster way. Today is deadline. Anyone?

I talked to Colby from the SEMA Action Network yesterday. He can still accommodate some Roadsters, but he'll be submitting his list to the organizers today. So, if you're thinking about it, please contact Colby at san@sema.org today. I hope you'll consider bringing your Roadster, because mine is in rough shape and I don't want it to be the only one on display! There will be a few other imports in the SAN display, including a '70 Datsun 240Z and a '91 Nissan 300ZX. Even if you can only bring your vehicle for one of the two days, I hope you do. It's a cool free opportunity to show off our Roadsters, plus you get free entry into the Show for you and a guest.

My car is probably going to still be in the fab shop..<sad face>
