Ok, I'm finally getting around to introductions. I acquired a 1968 1600 w/ a 5 speed from Colorado that was "in-process" of being restored. I'm turning her into a vintage racer. Serial # 17600, engine #59197. The motor feels strong, but 4 gear pops out (which was disclosed beforehand). I'm (hopefully) bringing the tranny to Steve Ehlers this week.

Good news is I have the 5 speed. The bad news is I have an open diff. So... if any of y'all have and extra LSD hanging around, I'm looking! Hopefully my current diff won't "accidentally" get welded by some rogue mechanic :smt102

After removing the stock windshield and getting a cage installed, she's going white with a black hood & trunk.

About me? I've been doing AutoX and HPDEs for about 7 years (first in a Mini Cooper then a Miata). We also recently started a Chump/Lemons team driving a 1988 CRX Si. My Avatar is our logo; We're Team STD... You don't want to catch us.

Definitely! Would love to have a few beers and check out some other Roadsters. Maybe the Flying Saucer in Addison?

Mission accomplished! Had a few of "those days"... As others will attest to, I use 311s as a "mind douche" at work!

If we do a Dallas-area gather, LMK. I'll be there, though sans Roadster.
