Datsun Matsuri 2014

Well, the time has come to open up registration for this year's event.
I've made two changes this year that will make it easier to get things organized:
I've increased the price to $35
but in exchange for the increase I've included an event t-shirt. For those of you who attended in 2012 and purchased a t-shirt, the $35 price tag is actually LESS than you paid. Now, how often do prices go down these days?
I've also created some price incentives for getting your registration done early.
Hope to see you all there, especially my US friends in the pacific northwest (just think, you automatically have a 10% discount).
I've also brought back the fun run on Sunday for those interested.

Glad to see a fellow American DROPS member beat those Canucks and registered first.
Darn, I was asleep and now I have to register after Ross!. Oh the shame!.
I heard that Ross is going to donate a large CASH prize for "Best Foreigners Roadster".
Thanks Ross and no Bitcoins.
Third year for Datsun Matsuri.
I will be there to continue my record of attending them all.
This is a fine event and we should come and support it.
David puts a lot of effort into the meet.
Do you realize he lives about 550 miles (Kilometers?, whatever those Canucks us to measure distance)
from Kelowna!. The guy is Crazy! He wanted to have the meet at a "central" location to get more folks
to attend. Would you organize a meet 500 miles from your place?.
We (Americans) do need to show up and support him and the show.
More chiding is in order about the lack of USA roadsters for this fine event.
The first year only Pebbles and I attended.
Last year The Neals (Mr. Shedd BBQ) and I attended.
That is a mighty skimpy representation from the better country to the South.
We should be ashamed.
Those goofy Canucks may be a worthless lot BUT they do drive to the American Roadster
Meets in OR and CA and we can not get more than 2-3 from the nearby Seattle area.!. BAD BAD BAD!
As the attendance from the Seattle area DROPS folks will be slight as usual ( I am doing my best to motivate them)
how about you Portland area roadster folks taking up the slack.
At this time. It is only Pebbles, the Neals and Ted. from the USA.
COME ON, we can/should do better!
Ted.

Ted:
that's what you get for taking a nap in the middle of the day. I started Shasta and it is 700 miles (1100 kms). We Canadians are not afraid to drive our roadsters.

Ted,
I admire your efforts to increase participation but let's not make it a competition unless it involves hockey sticks!
I am confused don't we all drive foreign imports?

I am taking up a collection for Ted's prize, a chrome plated walker..... and a hammock for those impromptu naps you are prone to.

To me, the fact that the furthest drive award last year went to a guy from Saskatchewan in a 240 with no stereo should shame at least one person from Northern California into coming - at least then the prize would cross a border...
I intend to be part of the 3 for 3 Alumni as well...

The young man from Saskatchewan was certainly a committed Datsun enthusiast! We need more like him!

That might be a good roadster license plate.
