She needs lots of frame work it had a 302 in it, so the frame was hacked up pretty good. Luckily the cuts are about in the same spots as a sr20 swap would need them so a lot of grinding and a little mig welding and she will be stable. The best part is she came with 3 boxes of parts some extra some not like 2 extra sets of tear drop makers. I would like to go back all original but she been hacked up so bad I think a sr swap and artistic freedom will be used. Like the tail light lenses I want to replace with some of the old model t lights that say stop in the lense. All suggestions are welcome and I prefer to do everything on my own.

Well it ran in that picture. My next door neighbor had a 71 nova and would come out at all hours reving his crap box. So when my tow guy (who was a big Datsun fan and not real happy that this roadster fell into my lap and not his) and I unloaded the roadster low and behold the crapbox starts up and the neighbor starts reving the nova. I figure that is a direct challenge to the man hood. I start the Datsun(tow guys face is priceless as he says that's not the sound of a four cylinder) give it a little throttle i.e. till the peddle stopped going down. Massive burnout starts and doesn't end till the nova stops running and the owner disappears. It turns out the 302 was fully built for a gasser but the (auto)tranny was not and the vigorous burnout did it in. I really didn't like the fact that it was a ford motor think a Datsun deserves a Datsun or if swapped a Nissan motor so I may have been trying to brake it. Odd how you say making vroom vroom noises since as soon as the body was back on the frame after the 302 was removed I was sitting on the floor making vroom vroom sounds. My brother corrected me saying vroom vroom sounds need shifting sounds in between ever two or three vrooms. That is one of the few times he has ever been right.

Nissanman,

Yes. MANLYish.

That said, I do know well and like very much those who may have other preferences.

It is a BIG world, with ample room for everyone.

I totally understand but that nova was a pile and I like that body style even owned a couple. And I drive a 89 si civic so I'm very open minded. One day I will have a syclone or typhoon since I have to wait a couple more years for the skyline to be legal in the US. Oh and thanks for the replies and a Merry Christmas to all of you or a happy celebratory day for what ever you celebrate.
