You all have a great time at Shasta. Looks like this years event will be a memorable 30th with 87 folks registered. I know Dave was hoping to break 100 but the numbers are still very good and the Shasta crew should be proud. I am planning to try to make it next year-just could not make it happen this year. Take lots of pictures-enjoy the cars and best of all you get to meet folks you converse with on the forum or otherwise. Enjoy........

Steve

looking forward to going... a quick snapshot of the register shows this to be promising with 72 roadsters entered... well, make that 73 once Mike Young decides what he's bringing...
Line up looks impressive. I didn't make Solvang and am curious to see how this line up compares...

Class/Model 1500 1600 2000 Total
Before the After 5 3 8
Custom 11 5 16
Early Non-311 1 1
Modified 6 4 10
Stock 2 21 14 37
Grand Total 3 43 26 72

Looking forward to a fun event! Now - must get radiator install done for the ride up!!
see you all tomorrow!

Ok... I am all registered too-- we are just coming down for the day-- the schedule won't allow for anything else... bummer.

If anyone needs and conversion parts (motor mounts, brake kits, etc.) I can bring them down with me!

See you Saturday!

Michael

Rolling north on I-5, about 95 miles south of Redding. Son at the helm, me just praying all bolts are tight and the wiggly AMP meter isn't going to cause us problems.

Running the new champion 3 row radiator which seems to be on the hot side... Could be the guards are a little whacky, as the temps climb with headlights on, and drop when we turn them off.

Hoping someone at the meet can share thoughts on which gremlins to seek out!

Save some ice cream for us!

Wiggly amp meter, and fluctuating temperature gauge together sound like bad grounds and connections, are you actually running hot, or just the gauge telling you so?

wooHOO! Thanks to getting a ride in one of Don Anderon's cars ('67 1600), I'M finally getting to meet internet friends & their cars in person, plus folks I haven't seen in a while.

Thanks to Jim Grant ('70 1600) & Mark Hatch ('69 2000), I found my perfect red.

SO....MANY.....ROADSTERS!!!!! And they haven't all arrived yet.

Wiggly amp and temp readings turned out to be a wonky connection from the after market alternator. Many thanks to the guys who's names I can't recall for the help in diagnosing the problem. All systems are good now.

Time to take some pics of all the cars here at Shasta.

Kathy and I, and Carl1 and Marge had a great time! Thanks to Dave and wife, and all the hard working helper bee's for a great time. Thanks Dave for all the time spent with my overheating. Had lots of talks with nice people that I now know face to face (not just an avatar or screen name) Redwoods today. Thanks

Sorry for the delay, I just got around to pulling these pics off the flash drive so I could post them here.
We have two new classes this year, one is Before the After for unrestored cars, the other is the Street Walkers' award, so anyone not associated with the show can vote for their favorite car. We got 77 votes from Mt Shasta's street walkers this year.
