I have a hard top that came with my 66 Roadster and I have never seen another. It has a trunk lid attached. I want to make sure that this is a Roaster top and what the value might be. It must be rare. I have pictures that I can email also. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Has a trunk lid attached? That sounds interesting...
You can post pictures to the "album" (the top-left link below the 311s.org image at the top of the page). You may have to decrease the size...TR

I have posted a picture and have others also. It is missing the window and there is no spoiler.

I don't know how to use this website yet. I think I replied incorrectly. I have posted a picture of the top in the album and I have others. No window or spoiler.. Still would like to find out the value. I have my car on ebay right now. Need money for a bigger project.

Bizarre as it seems, there were actually two variants of that top. One had the spoiler and one did not. The one that did not had the trunk lid, but the rear window did not open as Mark described. They are a love them or hate them accessory. Yes, they are rare, but that does not mean valuable. Most folks think that they are hideous and would not put it on their car. Not to mention that it WILL damage paint.
I think that it is kind of neat, but don't want one - I like putting the top down. A regular hardtop is OK as it is easy to remove. Just my 2 cents.

I have to agree with putting the top down and feeling the wind!! It's great. My car has a roll bar and I'm not even sure the top will fit over it. I've never tried it. Just curious about the value because I'm having to part with the car and all the extra stuff too. Will probably go as a package. thanks

That top looks different from the one that Dennis had. His was more squared-off looking. I've also seen one that was pebble-vinyl textured - very ugly!
Litlsnort - where are you located in the Great Northwest?

Just getting back from a busy day. Thanks for all the info from everyone. I agree the tops are pretty ugly, but apparently some people like them. The guy I bought my car from, at least did. There is a company called smoothline that makes specialty hard tops. They might be able to replace the window in the one I have, but I don't care, I'm just passing the info onto whoever buys my car. It's the 66 datsun on ebay right now. I hate parting with it, but have to.
Shifty,
I'm not too far from you. I'm in Yakima. WA

Yup, that is the earlier version. As I recall, it was originally intended for the 1500 2 seater from 1965.
