SRL- 196 frame found

Post by wineguy »

Well I found SRL-196 frame yesterday. For those of you that keep track. I'm considering purchasing it, just because i really need some more roadster parts. Like I need a hole in the head. Anyone have a 67.5 1600 body they want to get rid of?

Chuck,
Thats a great find. How and where did you find it? How much is the person asking for the frame? When it comes to 67.5 2000s, one can never have too many. :D

Will,

You can't honestly believe that Chuck is going to spill the beans on where and how much that thing is, do you? He already indicated that he is going to drag it home. Surely he does not want competition!!

Of course, I could be wrong....

It can't hurt to ask. Chuck let us know if you decide against the purchase. I do have a 67.5 (1600) and a solex motor that have been waiting for just the right frame (one can only dream).

Hey, I found a 67.5 2000, I didn't have any money then, and that was a full car. I still don't have any money to spend on a frame, not that I have anyplace to put a frame anyway. I was wondring if he happend to stumble across it in a junkyard, or someones shed. Exact location doesn't matter. Of course I could do a frame swap with my car and worry about finding the right body later. .

I found a 67.5 2000 as well, it had solex carbs, and what looked like a comp pan, and sway bar. Not sure if its for sale or not, it was getting a soft top/ new interior installed. I did not check the vin# but I will try and get it later today.
