prod car fest

Post by al gast »

had a very good weekend with the roadster at VIR .
Grayson Upchurch drove my car in the production car festival for the overall win .
had to qualify Saturday in a light rain on slicks , but managed second for the starting grid .
Sunday dawned clear and sunny .our group was first out . Grayson got a good start for the lead with Miner Wilcox very close second . stayed that way till Miner tried a pass at the end of the front strait that didn't work . Miner recovered , but caught lapped traffic and Grayson drove away for the win.
Steve Bonk returned my set of wheels and tires from the runoffs with a new set of Hoosier slicks that made the difference in the outcome . car ran well all weekend and we all came home with all our skin in place .

Miner Wilcox Caterham7 America
Ed Calfo Datsun 240Z

The Datsun was angry that day, my friends.

Holy crap Batman!! I almost wrecked my couch! My wife was watching next to me and I'm almost deaf from her "Ah! No way! Too fast!" yelps! Good Lord what do you have for an engine in that beast? The mighly Roadster was blowing past traffic like they were literally standing still. Seriously, the BEST Roadster racing video I've seen... Thanks for the ride!
