Another rally announcement posting. These "low key" runs are a blast. I highly recommend them, great roads, great fun, great gearhead talk, always some obtuse vehicles. (Citroen wagons and such)
I am not associated with the hosts, so contact them direct.

eventinfo@bench-racing.com is mentioned in the email thatw as sent, try there for a listing of other opportnities.

Carrera California IX

The ninth running of the "Carrera California" has been set for November
9th & 10th 2013. This is a classic car tour that takes you back in time
when traveling in California was done on two lane roads, meals roadside at
small family owned restaurants, and lodging at a classic "Motor Hotel"
with your car parked right outside the door.

"From the ocean to the desert and back" is our motto and you are invited
to come along. We leave early Saturday morning from Orange County and
spend the night in classic Borrego Springs (think Palm Springs in the
1950's/1960's). This is a no cost tour with a priceless motoring
experience. If you have considered this event in the past, now is time to
seize the opportunity.

Please visit our website http://www.carreracalifornia.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for complete event
information, photos from previous years, and registration details. Rooms
are limited and our entry is open to the first 20 vehicles (pre-1975
please).

All the best,
Charles Rollins & Rex McAfee

One of the huge advantages to living in So Cal. You can do this stuff when the rest of the Roadsters have to hibernate under warm blankets in the garage...
I would be all over that... What fun it would be to see some history and tear up some old roads.
