I just installed the chromed 67 plate with the 5-speed hole I received from Jim, today. Awesome !

I finally get to cover that gaping hole in the tunnel that I've been driving around with for 6 six years, since putting in the stroker. It did provide a really effective blast of warm air on the colder days, I removed my heater core long ago. I had planned on painting the top face to match the dash, leaving only the edge visible in chrome, like the original, but the all chromed look is growing on me. I can always paint and strip it if i don't like it.

You're such a tease. Now I have to wait to see the pictures? Patiently waiting.

I think that looks good, does it carry on to the radio console and dash?

Just to clarify. Ed in NJ is assembling his 67.5 and is stumped by this, as am I. So what is the factory OEM setup? Ring on the bottom and vinyl wrapping around the rubber boot with screw tops hidden inside vinyl boot, or ring on top like in photos?

Pictures would be a help
Thanks

I've never seen it with the boot wrapped around the outside of the ring although possible I think (you could use some socket head 4-40 screws with the heads on the inside of the boot/ring - use a 90 degree angle allen to hold them while tightening the nuts.) Glue the boot to the ring first and let dry completely. Hi quality (RC model shop) CA glue works great.

The last original 67.5 I took apart had the vinyl boot glued to the underside of the plate, the 67.5 rubber boot glued to it and no ring.

The only original one I've seen with a ring on it had the ring on top, but that doesn't mean they all did.

Truth be told the 67.5 was kind of a bastard year with a fair a mount of variations for so few...sacrilege I know, but certainly the truth..

Hi, I bought a 1967.5 2000 Roadster in November 2016 and I need the license plate trim ring. Do you sell them or know of someone who does?

Ok I'll display my startling lack of knowledge- how does this differ from a 4-speed plate? I assume hole slightly longer? If I was near my storage I'd go look!
