Body pads and body bolt pads

What material is best in type and thickness for the body pads?
What material and thickness is best for bolt pads

1967 early. 1600

Another subject that has been addressed many times, with many different answers and opinions.
One search, also search horse hair pad :

If you follow the Tech Wiki diagram for pad dimensions and placement, be aware that it is not 100% correct, or at least it wasn't for my '65.
The gap at the rear chassis rail is intended for the wiring loom for the fuel level sender.
Make sure your loom lines up with that gap or it won't be long enough.
Also the pads at the trailing part of the front wheel arches were preventing the body from settling down on the frame so I removed both of them.
