I'm sorting out logistics. I'll be back East (Roadster-less) for a few weeks and will plan to come up for the weekend - perhaps with a few friends in tow. See you there.

Email going out tonight for polo shirts and hats. I'll also post here with pic and pricing. Doing this one last minute, life got busy and art took a while.
See next post for ordering. There may be extra shirts and hats, but pre-orders and show participants have priority. I'm ordering extras up to the next price break quantity if it helps the total $$

The more hats we do, the better the price, so PLEASE buy early and buy often :D I'll save some for the Shedd guys of course and for Solvang raffle.

Email direct Daveandlindab@verizon.net to order This is a total non profit, so I think it's OK here, if not I will move it and link to the vendor area

Schedule

So far we have a Meet and Greet at Two Goats Thursday pm, courtesy of Carl
Downtown festivities are Friday afternoon into the evening
Saturday AM Show and Shine
Saturday PM dinner and awards

I want to try to get a bunch of us to the Go Kart track, that would be fun.
I'll be up there all week, so if anyone gets up early, get in touch.

OK, details on shirts and hats. Deadline for ALL orders is this this Sunday Aug 17th at NOON. I need time to compile the order and submit it Monday morning. I will order some extras, but if you really want one, order in advance. No T shirts this year, we are going with embroidered polo shirts and hats. You can order any color, but embroidery is all the same color, so black on dark is not the best. Hat in photo is Khaki. The sale of these items covers the cost of trophys, venue rental and insurance. Any profit will be carried over to next year.

I'll add Polo shirt pics as soon as I have them. Same colors.
Pricing is as follows
Hats are $12.00
Polo shirts are $18.00
Shipping should be $5.00 up to 4 items, I'll do actual on larger orders and combine shipping
Please email directly to me, daveandlindaB@verizon .net subject Glen Shirt
I'll be able to take checks, preferred, and should be OK with PayPal, have to check my account status but right now need to get the counts.

You can order in colors, but embroidery is all the same color. Hat in photo is Khaki. Orange and Blue look great, Not doing black, too dark and maroon may be iffy. May be able to do pink on the hats, but not 100% till I talk to them

(no black) White, Hunter Khaki, Maroon, Navy, Orange, Purple, Royal, Blue, Stone.

I'm in and thank you Dave, Sherry, Joe, Carl and everyone else I'm not mentioning for getting this all together.

Well it's been 10 months since Super Storm Sandy but I am up and running..............new engine, 40 over custom pistons, all new bearing, bushings, new B cam, rockers, valves, springs, ported and polished. All new timing components and oil pump. Lightened flywheel with a new clutch and pressure plate and fork. New set of Deans ceramic headers and opened up exhaust.

Engine dropped in last week, cam and rockers broken in (thank you M. Unger for the tips). Extensive road testing, rings have seated, compression strong, head retorqued, valves adjusted, timing set, 3 oil changes later I'm ready to rejet my solexs and open them up a little. Need to work out some electrical bugs and go over brakes and wheel bearing one more time.

Kathy seems so excited that I am spending so much time in the garage and road testing and even more excited for the 6 hour ride to the Glen.......make that 5 hours........maybe 4 1/2 if I can get some open road:) It's a good thing that the storm took out my speedometer:)

See you all there, Gary & Diane

If you are driving fast enough, turn signals are redundant because no one behind you needs to know what you are doing..

OK, instead of sticking the middle finger out the window, you use it to move the high beam lever UP and DOWN. You know where the high beam lever is, it's the thing you use when people go too slow at night and can't see the finger.

Oh, some more show news.
Hats and shirts are out to the embroidery company. there might be some changes to the artwork for production issues, if it's a substantial change, I'll post it here, but Linda is pushing them to do what we sent.

Carl has been busy, many local contributions for the goody bags,he will be posting an update. Vendors have sent some great stuff, as did RockAuto.com and Haggerty.

We still need raffle stuff, so as usual, bring whatever you want to donate, roadster related or not, We always seem to end up with great things on the table. Bottle of wine, set of Everwings, early Solex's, whatever you have. I'm going to check Nismoparts.com and see if there are any useful things. It's all for fun, same format, pick your prize from the table. It's more fun if everyone leaves with something. There have been years when I won my own stuff.

Just over 2 weeks.
