1600 driveshaft

I finally pulled out the pair of driveshafts for my '68 rat and surprise, they were different!

One is longer on the tranny side than the other. (The part that slides onto the splined shaft on the trans - sorry don't really know the proper name!)

The shorter one I think is from the '68. The longer one came with the '67 3-main bearing engine that is now in the car.

Does it make any difference? I put the longer one on the car as it was in better shape.

Thanks!

As far asI know the 1600 drive shafts are all the same length. Maybe you are referring to the dust shield that covers the splined end. You should be fine. So is the "RAT" ready for the road yet?
