Welcome! I can help with most of your 1500 specific questions, and maybe even parts.

Best advice is to take your time, realize rust is a likely issue on this car, and the fasteners are probably SAE, not metric, and prone to breaking off when rusted. Welcome to the adventure. Is this for you, mom or both? The 1500s are more rare than some and have their own quirks. Spl310 (above) will likely become a frequent resource!

this is a mother/son project that we are both going in on. yes rust is a slight issue, even though i have every receipt ever for this car including gas. the car has never left the LA area. I am a welder, and do believe it is possible to replace the rusted out areas.
and luckily i have a neighbor named patty. she came down today and blew my mind as to how much information she knows.

i appreciate the warm welcome and really look forward to this build

Welcome! Looking forward to the pictures and progress. Tell us, what got you into the roadster?

haha well honestly it was my mother. she loves the roadsters and has ever since she was a child.
for me i love them because i see them at cars and coffee every saturday.
i like how it has so much character to it. and im pretty sure its going to be an absolute blast to drive in when its done.
