Was out at Miller Motorsports park on Wednesday. Saw this nice Louts Esprit there. There was also a GT40, Ferrari F355, Porsche 356, a number of Lotus Elise's. Also, a very nice right hand drive Mini Cooper. Early 70's I think.

Also, a pic of the Datsun, and my good friend who has helped on the build. Yes, I let him race it as well. Note all the dirt and dust on the passenger side wheels. That's what happens when you go into a corner too hot, and can't stop in time to make the corner, even under full lock up. I went off a bit on one lap. Right back on though.

Oh yes. I can't believe the difference running 100 octane, with open stacks. I'm only at 10.5 to 1 compression. It was originally 11.5 to 1, but asked the builder to knock it down a tad so I could at least run on 91 octane. I really need to get this thing on a dyno.

Awesome man. Unfortunately once you go there it's hard to come back! Compression really is a double edged sword and I'm hoping to avoid getting too cut! I wonder if it's the different burn characteristics of the leaded fuel or the higher octane that's resulting in your motor's happiness? You were not pinging/knocking before, right? And you didn't adjust your timing for the higher O fuel? If that's the case I do wonder if a nicer burn is what results in the difference you're experiencing. Just curious...
