I was watching that. Still, an all metal and chrome piece for that kind of money really isn't that bad. I dare say try to buy that at the dealership - if it were available - and it would probably be pretty darn close to that price. When it's the last piece needed for a concurs restoration - I guess it's worth it.

It would be cheaper to get one re-chromed, and the stock chrome is not that good.
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......
