So far bikermike and datster want to do a fun run 6/9. I thought maybe we could visit Mark in Hollister and drive some twisties there?
thoughts? Anyone else interested?

Sounds good, if we go early enough I can join in…

(A) what about the "Skyline - Four Corners" route ? (San Mateo, out 92 West to Hwy 35 South to Hwy 84 West, end in Pescadero of Half Moon Bay?) (1.5 hours)

(B) or maybe from Livermore, South on Mines Rd, East on CA130 Mt Hamilton Rd to San Jose (2 hours or so?)

( C) or Orinda, north on Camino Pablo to Bear Creek Rd, past Briones Reservoir, to Alhambra Valley Rd then Reliez Valley Rd back to Lafayette. End with Breakfast at the Duck Club / Lafayette Park Hotel (1 hour)

Dave those are all great ideas!
I've never done (c), but (b) is more realistic for me at least.
I'm in for a early start

My plan to stop by Mark's shop a few weekends ago fell through so that would work.

if we stay north, the Livermore option sounds good. I haven't been out that way in a while.

Of course, I'll need to get the cooling system back together....

Start in San Jose or Livermore? It's no difference to me.

How about a start in San Jose: Like maybe at the corner of Alum Rock Rd and Mt Hamilton Rd., where Hwy 130 starts to turn south and east. From there, it is east on HWY 130, and North on Mines Rd to downtown Livermore, about 66 miles, where we can end at the Panama Red Coffee House (across from the First Street Alehouse at 2106 1st St in Livermore). Google maps says 2 hrs 18 minutes for that 66 miles of twisties but my guess is the Roadsters on a Sunday morning make that in nicely under 2 hours. If we do this, what time to start? 8 am? 7:30 am?

FWIW
Chose a route that you want and enjoy - tell people that you are doing it - and they will turn up - or they won't - just like buying a painting.

I am stoked! I haven't done the 130 to Livermore in ages. This road is like being in a different state with all of the landscape changes. It might take more than 2hs with all of the photo ops
