Sorry that I used this forum for sharing my opinion on my experience with the few vendors I have dealt with on this forum. The only reason I voiced my opinion is because I had a set of carburetors rebuilt by Apple Hydraulics and didn't want others to make the same mistake I did. Over $400 later and I had to go through them completely and couldn't get any satisfaction from them on making them right. They might be great on hydraulics and other rebuids but my experience is that carburetors isn't their speciality. I will in the future keep my opinions to myself if they are not appreciated. I thought we were all members of this board to help each other !

I don't think that anyone was trying to negate your opinion - I for one certainly was not. The information that you put in this note about Apple Hydraulics certainly gives more insight - and that is all that I was suggesting that you should add. With the details, we can make informed decisions. With opinions that have no details, we are just guessing. I know of people that won't use Vendor A because he/she does not have a web site, or won't use Vendor B because he/she has odd hours. They may be fine vendors, but if the person with the issue just says that they would not recommend that vendor without sharing their reasoning, their opinion has much less value in the decision making process.
I for one do not want anyone to hold back on sharing their opinion or experiences. I certainly share mine on a regular basis. I have been slammed for doing so, but I still believe that everyone has a right to my opinion.

After posting this note, I saw that Steve locked the original thread. I understand his rationale and support it. This forum really should not become a free advertisement, nor a whipping post for the vendors. I would prefer open discussion of issues, but can respect Steve's wishes to keep that stuff off forum.

Don,
I did not intend to upset you and your opinions and posts are valued. I just do not want to get into a vendor slamming contest. I have seen this very same topic get totally out of control on the Roadster List. I too appreciate the information concerning your problems with Apple Hydraulics. I have never used them and probably never will. Please do not become frustrated over my censorship of your original post. And please feel free to keep contributing to the forum. Roadster on!!!!! Sincerely.
