I am off for another Datsun Show and Driving Holiday.
Datsun Matsuri is on Saturday May 18 in Kelowna BC.
I have the opportunity to spend the week before in Lake Chelan.
A great chance to drive on the fine secondary roads in E. WA. wheat country.
These roads are usually in excellent condition with no traffic!
Off this morning during the break in the damp conditions and
got over Snoqualmie Pass without getting wet.
Looped East through Vantage and Ephrata to Chelan. 252 miles.
Ted.
Snoqualmie Pass 3200' Still snow around.
Columbia River at Vantage.
Part of the Moses Coulee.
Lake Chelan

Beautiful area for sure. We hope to travel some of those roads this summer once my car is back from surgery...
Hope you have a great time, wishing I could go!

We too would like to make the show. Unfortunatly it conflicted with our annual Stan-Craft open house boat show.
Maybe next year.

My wife and I did a lot of that trip last year. Had to take the BMW Z3 as the Roadster was acting up... Great area!

That's a pretty little Falcon.. Would be funny to see them reversed to see how much bigger the "compact" Falcon looked if it was in the foreground..

Sounds like a nice drive! I live in Wenatchee, so I am a bit spoiled with trips to Chelan and Leavenworth, both within 30 minutes or so from me. But my roadster is in such sad shape that I rarely drive it, it just sits in the driveway, though I am starting, albeit slowly, to start trying to drive it a bit more, once I get it running decently. And Greg Burrows, thanks again for all your help years ago with advice on my car!

You're still out there! Sorry to hear the car is down. Is it mechanical or other stuff? Maybe I can arrange a drive out once my car is back together! As I recall you went Mikuni. We can get them right! I would enjoy the challenge. I hope to be back on the road before July, and might need a pre-Shasta shake down run. Keep it in mind!

Yes, I'm still out here, just been lurking for a while. Honestly, after I got blocked/banned from "the list" due to a email spam virus on my computer that sent out email spam of some kind to the list, I just kind of gave up.
Car runs, but horribly. It runs so rich (I think) that it is pretty undriveable, so I just don't drive it. Engine sputters and coughs a lot, so I know my jetting on the Solex's is way off.
I suppose car is driveable, but it's not the best cosmetically either. Need two new front fenders (rusted out in usual place), rockers repaired so that fenders when I get them have something to attach to, interior work, needs a new soft top (my niece sat on my top about 3-4 years ago when it was down and bent the bow, so searching for a new one of those, and soft top is no good). I have my hard top just sitting on car now to avoid rain getting in it. The car sat a good 4 years under a blue tarp in the driveway. On a side note, I bled the brakes last week and they are hard. But stopping power not the best (maybe pads glazed?).
So, tons of work to do on it, but biggest issues, for me, are runs rough, and looks rough.
Thanks again Greg for all your help!
