I have never had any experience with that carpet. I have installed the J. C. Whitless carpet-worked for me and the kit from Dean-not too shabby. The J. C. Whitless comes in three grades Even the best one is not too exspensive. There is also a place out of Las Vegas that does carpet kits. I think the single piece molded would only do the main floor tub but I could be wrong. Anyone else tried one of these single piece units?

I emailed him and asked

Is this carpet for the Datsun "Roadster" 1600 or a different datsun 1600 model.

Response: As far as I know it is just a 1600 not a roadster

Steve,
I think you are right on this, this carpet cover just behind the seats not the entire interior (back wall tube and etc…)
Too intense restoration at Buena Park CA selling the 14pcs carpet kit set for $170. I wonder if that will cover from the gas pedal to
Back tube?

I believe this is for roadster 66-70 1600. I could be wrong. I will call to find out.

I bought a Too Intense Restoration carpet kit for my PL411 and wasn't overly impressed. The fit is OK, not great, and maybe it's the style of carpet I chose (red loop) but the carpet is rather thin, not as dense as I'd like. Dunno if his Roadster carpet kits are superior.

Adam, thanks for the feedback. Anyone else had the experience with Too Intense Restoration carpet kit?

I got one from Too Intense for my Z and ended up selling it on Ebay. I did not like it at all.

Classic Datsun is the way to go, I agree with Steve and Mark. I replaced the carpet in my wife's ripster 1600 and have now replaced the carpet in the seeya 1600 that I'll sell in the spring. Other than the color, there is no comparison. The Classic Datsun is superior in thickness, feel, ability to withstand a stain (Dr. Pepper) and hopefully much more durable as well. My one cent's worth. Sam

Withstands a Dr. Pepper stain? Well, as a Dr. Pepper addict, I know where I'm going when I replace my carpet. :D

I like Dr. Pepper too... found out later it is basically carbonated prune juice. Oh well, still drinking it. :) (off topic)

That molded carpet "looks" like a nice piece work.

My only experience is with Dean's multi piece kit that covers the whole interior and trunk. $145 when I bought a whiles back - no clue what inflation has done since then. It's not bad quality grade carpet, buts fits really well...
