New in Kelowna

In August of 2012 I had almost closed a deal on a Roadster from Penticton ... then the '02 XC70 had repair bill. A reliable highway car for the winter took a priority over the top-free toy. Dang.
Then, thinking the '02 was worn out, I got sold on buying the '08. :oops:
So, now I have an extra XC70 ... I figure I'll sell/trade either Volvo, & buy a roadster for my summer wheels.
I owned what must have been an early white '67 from '83 to about '87 ... when kids, house, time, skills, & money priorities changed. My target now is a '66 or '67 1600 for my daily driver ... I know there is one out there with my name on it.

Still Roadster-less in Kelowna

Ralph,

Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will score the roadster you are looking for eventually. Good luck and hang in there.

Wow, 30 years ago you had that '66 ?

You know you really want it when you keep thinking about getting another one.

Maybe take a vacation this summer as part of a search mission, and drive one home.

Or make sure you come to the Datsun Matsuri and pick up a lead on one there! There will be a bunch in attendance!

Thanks, nice to see the welcome. It was easy for me to get to the Datsun Matsuri in 2012 ... my 10-year-old son & I rode our (pedal) bikes to the show n shine, enjoyed the hill climb & all the roadsters. I met some great people & re-met a few others from 20+ years ago. Although he'd rather have one of those midgit over-sized go-cart thingy's with the full roll cage, he realizes it would be pretty cool to be dropped of at school in a roadster.
Thanks again ... and I'll trade either XC70 the right '67 or '66 :lol:

Ralph;

I am likely the closest to you, I am an hour away in Armstrong. There was a blue 2 liter in Penticton many years ago, but I don't know if he is still around. PM me if you get out my way, or I may just have to get mine done early and get into Kelowna to road test it.
