The SoCal caravan to the Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic meet up is on Friday April 26.
We meet at Woodlake Lanes (Bowling Alley) located at 23130 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364. We usually leave after lunch and head up (leave around 12:00-12:30). For years this has been the SoCal place to hook up with those that want to be part of a caravan north.
There are several groups that meet someplace before this to caravan to Woodlake Lanes. One group meets at the Breyer's house and leaves around 9:00am.
Groups from the Inland Empire and further east are welcome to join in (actually anyone that wants to can join in). The Address: 2992 Quebec Dr - Riverside, CA 92504
Also those coming from the San Diego area or traveling the 15 through Corona/Norco we meet briefly at the McDonalds in Norco just off the 15 at Sixth Street and pick up a group for our caravan.
Our route is the 15 to the 60 to the 71 to the 210 to 134 - 101. If you miss us - Catch up!

In years past we have also had an early group, leaving before 8.
I am open to ideas for a cruise.

From the South Bound Caravan Thread.

Speaking of 75 mile detours (well, you are still headed south for most of it, so not really a detour)
just past Nipomo (before Santa Maria) take 166 East 10 miles to
Tepesquet Canyon, go right.
17 miles of incredible roads, really well paved, switchbacks galore, made for the roadster.
Left at Foxen Canyon. Gorgeous horse ranches and small wineries.
Right at Alisos Canyon to get back out to 101, or continue on a few miles and Foxen Canyon becomes Zaca Canyon (this is Fess Parker winery area) and comes back out onto 101 a few miles more south.
At this point you can go back onto 101 to get to Buellton, or a left takes you onto 154/San Marcos Pass Rd, which will bring you on the scenic route into Solvang from the East (the casino route).
Highly recommended.

From the south take 33 to 166 for a fun Run

Is anyone going to be stopping off at the McDonalds/Chevron Station in Norco off the 15 at Sixth Street? We just need to make sure we need to stop there or not. We should be by there around 9:20am
Leaving the Breyer's House in Riverside at 9:00am sharp

Almost cried watching this. LOL. It was very cool. I will be in Solvang later today, about 3:30 p.m., but carless this year. The poor girl is still in the garage, just too soon for that ride.
