Parts

Post by Bob »

Know this is likely a constant thread, but I could use a few parts, and I am looking for reliable sites.

I need a jack, a jack hole plug, a knob for the ventilation lever, choke knob, map light, 67.5 windshield wiper, 67.5 sun visors, a 1500 grille (I know that is a mish-mash with the 67.5, but I can explain) and probably many other bits and pieces that I am not yet aware of.

Appreciate your suggestions.

Bob, just my opinion, others have echoed it...The jack for these cars is probably NOT something you want to actually use. If they fail, you damage the door and can have the car drop on you. I keep a small scissor jack, piece of 3/4 plywood under a 280Z compact spare in the trunk. Get a nice spare tire cover and nobody knows it isn't original. That said, I rarely carry the spare, unless I'm crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge. Best tire toolkit is a cell phone and Haggerty.

As far as the visors, do you have the 67.5 clamps, the rotary style? It is a tight fit getting it clamped, but the visors are nice to deflect the wind.
