Solvang, Marin Sonoma, Shasta

All,

I am new to this world.

Just purchased a nice 64/65 SPL 310 3 Seater with a swap U20, 5 speed and disc breaks up front, plus a few other bits and pieces. This was my dream car in high school -- not to date me.

I hope to go to Solvang, Marin/Sonoma (which has a new Japanese car category this year, I am told), and Shasta.

Could use suggestions on where to stay in Solvang and Shasta, and how best to meet, other than showing up, the other Datsun crazies, of which I am very happy to be a new (old) one.

Thanks.

Bob - If you make it to Solvang - the Datsun Crazies will find you... We came all the way from Canada in a rental Sentra (picked up at LAX) and were welcomed immediately. Your car has been much talked about along the way here, so you will I am sure be well received.

Welcome aboard. I don't think I will make it down this time around, but again soon...

Hotels are filling. Call svendgaards lodge direct not online reservation , they may have a room. Watch here for caravans. It's fun, we fly in from New Jersey. I was hoping to see that car. Same guy who started yours built my 66.
See you there!

I'm sure there will be a caravan that you can catch from the Bay Area down to Solvang. Ask Alvin (Alvin) or Will (SLORoadster), or there might be a thread for it already.

There is a large caravan up from the south as well -- it was a particular thrill for me last year (my first Solvang) to roar up the 101 with 15 other Roadsters.
