March 10 SoCal meet and fun run

Post by Garm »

Hey folks, it's time for another SuperCar Sunday meet up and fun run in the Santa Monica Mountains. We did this last year and it was GREAT!
A bonus is that Mr. Ted Heaton will be visiting from almost-Canada, so we get to show him our beautiful mountains, cars and SoCal hospitality.

WHERE and WHEN:

March 10,2013

Supercar Sunday
corner of Topanga Canyon Blvd. & Erwin Street in Woodland Hills, CA.
This is the back of the Promenade Mall parking lot.

7:30am - 8:00am meet up and park
8:00am - 9:00am drink coffee and check out the cars
9:00am - ? Fun run through the Santa Monica Mountains

If everyone likes, we can repeat last year's run and end at Neptune's Net (on the coast, northern Malibu)
***Maybe we can all stay in one group this year.

I'll do a map this year so no one gets lost. I thought a slight variation with Little Sycamore Canyon added before arriving at Neptune's Net. Very nice scenic road.
I'll let the photogs know too, so comb your hair and wash your car! 8)
Hope we can get some players so we show Ted a good time.

Spike doesn't like water -- but everything else sounds good.

The very important question, is are we applying daylight savings before or after the event?

Yes it's the night before, as Linda said. Ugh. It's ok if people are a little late. 8)

Ross at Sports Imports has authorized me to be a substitute Canadian until the real item (Garth) comes down for Solvang.
Garm, there will be a "geographical challenged" Surcharge on your next parts order from Canada.
Those Canucks are sensitive about who gets to be a Canadian!

Save me a Roadster seat for the drive. I am a good passenger and riding mechanic!
Or even better, a driver if someone has a second roadster that needs exercise!

Ted (Surrogate Canadian).

^ LOL. I have property in Nova Scotia, that should buy me a few points with you Canucks.

I changed the post to say Ted is from "almost-Canada", which is the way me and my wool coat see it.

Ted. Please bring maple syrup. :smt006

We are working on the route and map so stay tuned.

Happy to announce that MicroImage Co is donating a pic from 1 of the pro photogs on the route to this event! Who said corporations are heartless entities shipping jobs off to China? Not true!!
Show up on the Run and get a ticket . Odds of winning: outstanding!

Happy to have your raffle prize donation , Garm! And great you will have a Roadster this year too.
I have contacted Victory Jon at http://www.highwayphotos.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and he will be shooting that day. Some nice photos will be available of your ride if desired. He also will try to get a HD video for posting on YouTube. Cool.

Pass the word along so we notify as many as possible.
Map soon.
