Dayton Wire Wheels

Roadsters,
I am considering buying some wire wheels for my 2000. I spoke with a salesperson from Dayton Wire Wheels. DWW builds each wheel to custom specs. They will build the wheels with a 15mm offset.

I think I am reverting back to my British car youth and I just like wire wheels. So it is a choice of wire wheels or Weber carbs. I am leaning toward the wire wheels.

Has anyone done this? Those of you with wire wheels, what brand have you used? Any issues or problems with wire wheels? Any pros or cons regarding this?

Thanks

I had Dayton wire wheels on a Jaguar sedan. Beautiful look. Monstrous pain to keep clean. Ended up having to use tubes, and had chronic tube issues. That all being said, I think that if you got some with about a 60 spoke count, they would look great. The 100 spoke count is too much in my opinion...
