Post by twinight »

From the list:
"...Howard of Glendale CA, who owns a 69 SRL. Howard has joined the roadster list and the 311s.org forum. So say hello amd make him feel welcome.

We decided to get together for a roadster lunch at the Bob's Big Boy in Glendale ( on Glenoaks) at 11:00 am Saturday. Any body interested in swapping roadster lies (oops I mean "Stories") is welcome."

So far we have 4 interested in going. Anyone else is welcome.

Here's an address and map for those wanting to go:

I'm planning to.
I've been having starting problems since the rains two days ago.
I just got if fired up after cranking a few minutes.
If I make it home w/o any problems and she starts up without any trouble in the morning, I'll drive the roadster.

Steve,
Sorry that I could not make to that event, I was busy working on my roadster (Saturday and Sunday) and you know once you started work on it you dont want to stop. Did I missed any things?

Thanks

I used to drive my Roadster through water so deep the back end floated once. Every time the next morning I would have condensation in the distributor cap, but a minute with a paper towel would always do the trick. It would get it dry enough to run, and getting the engine hot enough would evaporate whatever dampness was left. I never had a problem the following morning.
