Texaco Maintenance Guide

Is this guide accurate? If so, I think two of my spark plug wires are reversed on my distributor. That may explain why it runs so rough, lol.

The firing order is 1 3 4 2, so if yours is out of synch, that would cause issues.

Distributors can be installed 2 ways. Perhaps yours is installed like mine, 180 degrees off from the usual orientation. This is fine, you just have to shift each of the wires over 2 spots on the cap.
Usual orientation:
