Superdrive Sunday

Hey'all. For the past several years the California Melee folks have gotten together every Superbowl Sunday for a run. It's open to all vintage makes, so if you've got another vintage car, whether it's another Datsun or not, come and join in on the fun. That said, I'd love it if there were more Datsuns. Last year someone brought a beautiful bluebird. Some makes you may see there include Hudson, Chrysler, Rolls Royce, Maserati, Alfa, Buick, and many others.
We meet at Nick's at Rockaway Beach in Pacifica at 10:00AM on Sunday February 3rd. We'll take the scenic route to Boulder Creek for lunch. Some of us go back to Nick's in Pacifica to watch the superbowl afterward.

Anyone in Portland up for a drive tomorrow?
If it is as nice as it was today, almost perfect roadster weather!

This is happening tomorrow. Pacifica is just south of San Francisco. Hope to see more roadsters this year.

I dont know how I missed this posting. Sounds like a good run but since I saw it too late I'm going to have to miss this one.

I missed this posting as well....
DaRoaster - Did I see you coming up Hwy 9 on the west side of Skyline today around 3pm? I spotted a white Roadster while out for a quick run this afternoon.

Missed this posting too too but still managed to take the roadster out for nachos and wings. A scarf makes for a good napkin and defroster. Not necessarily in that order...

Hi. Yeah that was me. There's a link to some pictures above. There were 2 other roadsters, a black 2000 and a silver 1600. There was also a very nice '59 Chrysler Imperial and a restored E-type, a '73 Datsun 1200, a Velorex, and a Fiat Dino among the 40+ cars (I din't get an official count yet). Sorry if you missed it. Put it on your calendar for next year. We had a great rally.

I live in Boulder Creek and saw a white roadster in town parked on the west side of 9. I was in town to fill the bbq propane tank and had to do a double take to make sure it was not mine! My wife spotted it first. Sorry I missed the run. Would like to get the roadster out for another one soon.

Stacey, that was probably mine, parked in front of the grocery store. Someone came up to me just after I parked and mentioned that he had one and he's doing an SR motor swap. He lives in Boulder Creek. I didn't get his name, though. Michael Brown is also in your neck of the woods.
I found it funny that a lot of people came to talk about the Datsun when I was parked next to a Ferrari and so many other beautiful cars. The E-type was concourse quality. This rally is eclectic and open to all vintage makes, so it's great to see Datsuns in this context. Some cars get driven often, some are freshly restored, some are rarely taken out, but all are interesting in some way.

Sounds like a great bunch of old car enthusiasts and like a good time!
