Trying to plan a short fun run Saturday am. Weather is supposed to be much warmer!
Tentative plan is to do a Santa Cruz Mtn trip and possibly tie that into lunch up there or at coast. Need to be home by noon anyway.
Check here for updates, and come join the fun!

Looks like you need more notice. Maybe change the thread title.
Hope you get it going. Post pics to inspire others to make some time.
Have fun!

What do you guys think of something a few weeks from now North of you and South of me.? East Bay Hills, HMB, Lucas Valley (if you guys are motivated...that's north of all of us). Because of my 2 year old son I typically have about a 3 - 4 hour window in the day. We could do an Alice's kind of thing...

I am new to this web-site, but not new to Datsun Roadsters.
I have a '70 SPL311 daily user...mechanically fine, cosmetically so-so.
My only sports car buddies are MG/Triumph owners. We do a lot of road trips, sometimes camping (Big Sur, etc.) and sometime B&B's (Russian River, Yosem., etc.).
Keep me posted of NorCal fun runs. We live in Modesto, CA and like 'fair weather trips'!

I'm in for later...

A couple suggestions:

1) Start in San Mateo, drive up Hwy 92 to Skyline, then South on Hwy 35 (Skyline) to La Honda, West on Hwy 84 to Pescadero, North on 1 to Half Moon Bay, and Return to San Mateo via Hwy 92 East. About 1.5 hour drive time from San Mateo and back. Possible stop at Ritz in Half Moon Bay for photo shoot and a cold drink.

2) Start in Berkeley, drive up up Claremont Ave to Grizzly Peak Rd, North Tilden park, then down Wildcat Canyon to San Pablo Dam Rd and Orinda, cross over and take Bear Creek toward Lafayette and Martinez, to Alhamabra Valley Rd to Reliez Valley Rd and Pleasant Hill Rd. End in Lafayette and have a cold drink at Lafayette Park Hotel, or Burgers in Walnut Creek at "The Counter". The Drive would be about 1 Hr 15 min.

3) Start in Alum Rock Area East of San Jose, take Hwy 130 East towards Mines Rd, then Mines Rd North into Livermore. End in Livermore wine country at McGrail Vineyards (good view, lots of Roadster Parking). About 1 hour 50 minute drive time.

All these are a "couple hours" and can be done and complete before lunch, back to your other life... all depending on how close you are to the start and end points, of course. And of course, any time anyone wants to take a run up Mt. Diablo, I'm in!!
