Is this the same Silver and red interior roadster from the Bay Area?
Ha! Don't think many folks remember that one, a '66 I thought was a driver that needed a little work. Unfortunately, the reality was that it was a project that barely drove. I think I put 20-30 miles on it before it never drove again. Bought in 2004, declared "Parts Car" in 2014.

This is a '67 I bought a few months after giving up on the '66.

Lots of good work done but not shared over the last couple of weeks. But I'm stuck at home for a few days compliments of Rona.
Took a break from cleaning the sludge out of the fuel tank because I was short on supplies. So I drilled out the spots where the previous owner to the previous owner welded the trim holes closed, then added some bling. Bad angle for the photo distorts the lines but yes, the "D" needs to come up a smidge. Once I get my technique down it'll be time to install the shiny new SS Trim from Vietnam. Customer service on that order was superb and the warning label on the outside got the attention of the Fex Ex driver. Door cam shows him putting the package down like a sleeping baby. Or maybe he's just a Roadster fan :)

Thanks, not yet. Well, actually you probably have. It was listed here a few weeks ago, residing in Indiana. Now it's in Virginia. :)

Maybe my eyes are going (which is quite possible), but it looks more like a muted green in the first picture - Almost like an electroluminescent paint 🤔

Your eyes are fine. Looks like the garage door is closed and it's green. Good observation. Maybe you're on to a new paint scheme.

No kidding? Well, if I ever decide to drop the Red, White & Blue look, I think that shade would look great!

Think I’ll call it - ‘Illusion Green’ 🙂

Made some reflectors that require aluminium vapour coating to go inside the period Koito fog lamps I am restoring, as from standard the reflector is the inside of the housing and are not good quality chrome.

In process: fighting the stock firewall panels. The one on the driver's side had pre-punched holes that are too large for the #6 screws and finishing washers. Using black #6 fender washers under the finishing washers. Has the added benefit of better support. However, the fender washers and the sound insulation make the #6 x 3/8" sheet metal screws too short, so off to the store for 1/2".

I have the Same issue…. A seemingly simple and un-eventful task becomes a full blown project in on itself… the never ending battle…. Now rewind and repeat

Here you go...the reflector coating is a bit more involved than a rattle can;

I have also found a pair of NOS Everwing fog lamps, not correct for the roadster, but a nice period piece, I am not sure I need, but maybe too good to let pass...

Engineer Scott from Star trek fame once said "The more complicated the plumbing the easier it is to plug up the sink" as he had disabled the super duper "Trans Warp Drive" on a pursing ship by removing a couple of specialized modules... this just came to mind a bit ago, out messing around...

I love my EFI. It's returning great benefits in fuel economy and power, and the tuning ability is amazing. BUT... you're relying on computers and sensors, and the more complicated the plumbing...
I was just out doing some final mapping, letting the autotune adjust the table. Car is running great. Then after a high speed blast, I was idling in a parking lot reviewing data and making some adjustments, and suddenly it's saying it's way lean, and the controller is struggling to return it to a normal ratio. I had just made a change in how the computer can adjust for variations in ratio, and all of a sudden it's wonkie! Fortunately I soon noticed a change in the exhaust sound too, and I realized I had blown out the collector gasket and it had fallen out at that very moment, so there was a huge exhaust leak right next to the O2 sensor. Bad data for the computer! So it's off to the parts store for a more robust gasket... simple things that have bigger consequences now with "more complicated plumbing!"
