Found a whole in my rear brake line. Luckily I had a stock brake line that I had from replacing the fronts.

Also, I had a seized brake shoe adjuster. Still having some trouble adjusting the e-brake. With the e-brake up the car still rolls. Seems like if I adjust the shoe closer to the drum the axle gets hard to rotate.

The ebrake adjustment is on the cable fwd of the axle housing.
Loosen that BEFORE you adjust your shoes to the drum.
After you have the shoes adjusted to the drum, adjust the ebrake at the cable.

Started taking her apart to get ready for paint. Cleaned out the engine compartment, removed the brake lines, etc.. I need to replace a couple of them. I remember seeing a post on a vendor that makes them. Searched but couldn't find the thread any help would be appreciated. Disassembled the drivers door. Removed the seats and what was left of the carpet. Pulling off trim, lots of little pieces. Just hope I can put it all back together. Next the windshield and dash. Had one electrical connector fall apart in my hand, both sides. Where can I get a replacement ? Need a storage building for all the parts. The whole thing is easier to store when it's in one piece and I'm not even through.

Vintage connections is your source for electrical connectors, they are awesome. I think the vendor for brake lines is Inline Tube.

CK, I am in about the same place as you, after six months of cutting out rusted areas and welding new metal in. Last night I cleaned the parts of the heater box and put rust killer on them. I use lots of little bags for small parts and fasteners. putting labels on all of the wire ends. I am putting larger parts on shelves that were nearly empty after finishing up the last project.

Its the same as it was before i swapped it out the first time lol
At least it springs back from the start position now.
Never wanted to fire in the start position. So i swapped it out for a "good one".
Same result. After a few cycles, the "good one" would not spring back to on.
Been wanting to fix that for a couple years.
Smashing the front persuaded me to swap it back.
There is power at the ballast in the start pos,, so i have no ideer.

Got 'er running on all 4, after noticing that the rear carb was dumping fuel out the bowl vent and the front carb was getting no fuel. Replaced the missing shift knob with a close equivalent from McMaster-Carr (it's a smidge smaller in diameter, but was cheap). I had to Dremel off the zinc hub of an old knob, then chase the threads with a die before it would go on. Next up: clutch and brake hydraulics!

A few days ago I picked up some bicycle brake cable and housing for rebuilding my choke cables which were pretty well shot. Going by the great Wiki Tech written by Mike AKA Exit 64, I got it apart and put in the new cables, then cut the housing and epoxied the two pieces in. This is on a '67. There are fewer pieces than the one in the article, so it seems to be quicker and easier.

Does anyone have the lengths of the cable housings and the inner cable that they can post? Both the 1600 and 2000 versions.
