Cleaned, lubed, and replaced a broken spring in the EI distributor over the weekend. Probably a good idea to check the dizzy once in a while for such things.
Thanks to Tom at East Coast Roadsters for the spring set.

Be careful when removing the reluctor so you don't crack the magnetic assembly under the stator. I did.

Oh man, that car is really coming together. I'm very partial to black and white cars. The blacked out lights look really great. I have black dot tri-w's (cheap ones) for headlights, but wonder if these would look good on my black car. They look GREAT with the white contrast... Lovin it!
I guess the only way to know would be to try a set but the only problem I see is contrast "black on black"........

Shant, are your new headlights hi/low (bixenon) or just low only?

Wow, that engine bay may be the tidiest I've ever seen, good job! Is that autolite battery real or is it a cover? I hope to be ready for a battery soon and think a modern battery just looks out of place. Mike

Thanks! The autolite is just a cover - I stole that idea from Andrew W.'s car after I failed to find a suitable classic Japanese battery. I had to customize it quite a bit to get it to fit and look right though.

...has the correct ORIGINAL "dealer-option" parts though, sans the oil pan - I've seen and read about your personal experience in that area and presently have no interest in living it myself. In the interest of having the "complete" package I will probably get the pan though and put it up.
